How to block a number to prevent that number calling you in elastix. Lets say, i will block the call from 212-xxx-xxxx and give him a busy tone or whatever that can prevent him from always calling us anytime. Thanks. Please help me with this one. Thanks.

Just set an inbound route that matches that CID (any DID) and send it wherever you want.

Check that the CID is actually 1212xxxxxxx and not 212xxxxxxx

verify the CID is not (as normally) stripped of it's prefix with

    grep 212xxxxxxx /var/log/asterisk/full

just to check, or use _212xxxxxxx as the matching CID on the inbound

when i grep 212xxxxxxx /var/log/asterisk/full there are logs displayed on it. i am now configure _212xxxxxxx as the matching CID on the inbound and i will monitor it if it works. thanks.

    hello xedlinux,

another way to block some incoming calls is to set this number in black list (free pbx)

What if I want to block an entire area code. Can I use the X like you guys did above. For example 214xxxxxxx?
