Hello all,

I am sorry for posting something so simple, but I really think something is wrong, couse it shouldnt be so hard to access the web interface...

I've been using TrixBox for quite some time now, but people simply doesn't help in their forums, so I am tring this and see how it goes.

The thing is, I installed the system, I logged in console, I netconfig(ed) a static IP adress which is (192.168.10.10), net mask, gateway, Dns, and Rebooted.

Now, I can ping my server IP perfectly, I can login via SSH (and I can ping the internet from the server console), but when I type https://192.168.10.10 on my browser, I get "Page not found". (I also tried http without the s, and got the same result).

What could be happening?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Yes, it's definitely Elastix, console login:

Last login: Sat Sep 20 23:44:25 2008 from 192.168.10.9

Welcome to Elastix
----------------------------------------------------

For access to the Elastix web GUI use this URL
http://192.168.10.10

[root@elastix ~]#

I downloaded version 1.2, burned and installed.

I was also surprised that netconfig worked, since It doesnt work on TrixBox anymore, something about the CentOS has replaces it for system-config-network.

And It must have worked, couse I have no DHCP in my LAN, how come I can ping and access ssh on that IP?

Thanks.

You should be available to access from http://192.168.10.10 or https://192.168.10.10.

If you can not access there might be some of the following problems:

1) Is apache running? It should be, but just in chance
-----
/etc/init.d/httpd status
-------

2) Is there a firewall between your pc and Elastix?

Gracias Rafael,

I suspected something was wrong, becouse I issued "ps aux | grep httpd" and came empity.

Then I checked apache and it was down.

After some time I noticed some erros in the console, something about "cluster error".

I didn't suspect the hardware, becouse the same computer was working ok with trixbox.

But I found out it was the HD, I replaced it, installed the system and the web interface worked perfectly.

I knew it wasn't supposed to be hard to access the web interface, just took too long to blame the hardware, lol.

Thanks alot.
