hi hombres, i have a Billion ISDN BRI card

#lspci -v
Network controller: Cologne Chip Designs GmbH ISDN network controller [HFC-PCI] (rev 08)
!!! Invalid class 0280 for header type 01
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0
Memory at <ignored> (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [disabled]
Memory at <invalid-64bit-slot> (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [disabled]
Bus: primary=18, secondary=00, subordinate=01, sec-latency=0
!!! Unknown I/O range types 1c/0
!!! Unknown memory range types 20/1
!!! Unknown prefetchable memory range types 24/1
Expansion ROM at <ignored> [disabled]

is the second day i am trying to wake it up :) no chance.
I also use the following guide :http://www.elastix.org/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=55&func=view&id=12095&catid=25#12095 and nothing.

1) I saw with #setup that the CAPI and mISDN are not used by elastix.
2) with asterisk -r misdn show stacks i got -> No such command 'misdn show stacks' (type 'help misdn show' for other possible commands)
3) i tryed to recompile asterisk adding chan.isdn.so and misdn show stacks is was not working.
4)

# misdn-init scan
[OK] found the following devices:
card=1,hfcpci
[ii] run "/usr/sbin/misdn-init config" to store this information to /etc/misdn-init.conf

# misdn-init start
-----------------------------------------
Loading module(s) for your misdn-cards:
-----------------------------------------
/sbin/modprobe --ignore-install hfcpci protocol=0x2 layermask=0xf
FATAL: Error inserting hfcpci (/lib/modules/2.6.18-8.el5/extra/hfcpci.ko): No such device
/sbin/modprobe mISDN_dsp debug=0x0 options=0 poll=128 dtmfthreshold=100

5) in cli> help , i cant see some isdn command.

I tryed with elastix 1.0 and 1.3 and no way to make it work !!

please help, ayuda, hilfe!! :)

thanks in advance.

i answer your self, finally i get it work in NT mode, it was so easy.

1. install the card
2. init-misdn scan
3. init-misdn config
4. /usr/sbin/misdn-init config
5. this section is really important to put the card in NT mode with nt_ptmp=1
Code:
#Tarjeta 1, con chipset HFC
card=1,hfcpci
#La ponemos en modo NT Point to MultiPoint
nt_ptmp=1
#Opciones por defecto
poll=128
dsp_options=0
debug=0xf
6. then you will see in clic> a down status because we haven't the phone already connected :)

Code:
CLI> misdn show stacks
BEGIN STACK_LIST:
* Port 1 Type TE Prot. PTP L2Link DOWN L1Link:DOWN Blocked:0 Debug:0

7. we must do the config for our lines in /etc/asterisk/misdn.conf

Code:
[general]
misdn_init=/etc/misdn-init.conf
debug=0
ntdebugflags=0
ntdebugfile=/var/log/misdn-nt.log
bridging=no
l1watcher_timeout=0
stop_tone_after_first_digit=yes
append_digits2exten=yes
dynamic_crypt=no
crypt_prefix=**
crypt_keys=test,muh

[default]
context=misdn
language=es
musicclass=default
senddtmf=yes
far_alerting=no
allowed_bearers=all
nationalprefix=
internationalprefix=00
rxgain=0
txgain=0
te_choose_channel=no
pmp_l1_check=yes
pp_l2_check=no
reject_cause=16
need_more_infos=no
nttimeout=no
method=standard
dialplan=0
localdialplan=0
cpndialplan=0
early_bconnect=yes
incoming_early_audio=no
nodialtone=no
presentation=-1
screen=-1
echocancelwhenbridged=no
echotraining=no
jitterbuffer=4000
jitterbuffer_upper_threshold=0
hdlc=no
max_incoming=-1
max_outgoing=-1

[extension1]
ports=1
context=from-internal

The card will be not detected in Elastix Hardware detection but it doesn't matter.

That's all enjoy it!

ohhh don't forget connect it with a crossed cable

Tx+ 3 ------+ +----- 3
. X
Rx+ 4 ------+ +----- 4
.
Tx- 5 ------+ +------5
. X
Rx- 6 ------+ +------6

just take a ethernet cable cut one connector and put the wires in this order:

white/orange, orange, blue, white/green, green, white/blue, white/brown, brown.

this cable connect to your hfc card and the NT device which will provide the energy for the card, finally plugin another isdn cable between the other jack of the NT and your ISDN telephone.

for spanish herehttp://www.julianmenendez.es/rdsi_con_chan_misdn_en_modo_nt/#more-19

bye.
