    Hi,

For a variety of reasons I needed to upgrade my Elastix 1.3's FreePBX to 2.5. I was aware of the problems regarding the 'extenions' screen, but I figured I'd just always use the 'Unembedded FreePBX' to work around that. So far so good...

However, I did notice that if I go directly to http://host.ip.address/admin it will pop up the unembedded FreePBX authentication. Now, if you're doing remote support and have port forwarded through to your PBX this seems like it would be a security problem. The default password for that screen is admin/admin, which is easily found on the Internet. So I'm wondering, how to I go about changing the password for the Unembedded FreePBX interface?

Is there a work-around that will allow the embedded FreePBX to work again?

    Thanks,

    Pat

Excellent!; I'll implement that shortly. Any thoughts on the freepbx password?

    Thanks!

You can change it in the unembedded freePBX interface, in the administrators tab.
And if you wan to change default admin password for Elastix main web interface (palosanto) you can also do it in System - User management.
