Free US DID from Google, Really!

    I guess you may need to be in the US but I was surprised when I read that Google had requested a great deal of US Dids for gmail subscribers that can ring any number... so I requested and about a month later I recieved. Granted, they are dealing with the same company I deal with, level3 on of the largest if not the largest north american DID providers, nevertheless I got a miami DID to ring my cell and loved it.

    Here's the kicker... I can requisition phone numbers anywhere in the US but Free is Free and when available why not...so I did.

    the problem is that you have to have it forwarded to another DID to receive the call...
    Google voice does not do SIP directly at least not anymore :-(

    Better go with free US DID at IPComms, IPKall or Sipgate. At least you can route them to your pbx.

    so what is the goog team using, jabber only?

    True I had a miami did forwarding to my Virginia, 703 area did...
