we have a password to make outgoing calls to prevent maids and such from using the phone systems, now one person would like to forward the phone to their cell phone when they need to step out of the office.

The issue seems to be with the password on the out going calls, they can get the number in the phone, but it asks for a password eventually...?

anyway around this?

Perhaps make an "unprotected" outbound route that only has this cell phone number in its dialplan, make it a higher priority than the normal outbound route, true, the maids can then call that number without restriction, but they can ONLY call that number (and any others you add to that outbound route.)

(you could call that outbound route "Privileged" and add all the wives(husbands) and girl(boy)-friends' numbers to it, and hope the "maids" won't be calling these numbers too often)

I suggest you make a custom-extension something like

sip/<trunk>/13235551212 ; (13235551212 = your cell number_)

and just use it in your ivr's etc as a regular extension
