    Hi there !!

I recently installed Elastix 2.0 e i'm heaving a problem with Fax Viewer tab.

I'm capable of receiving FAX with no problem and this fax is e-mailed to my mailbox. However, I need to have a copy of this pdf fax on my Fax Viewer tab, under FAX tab in web gui, but I don't know why, this is not working !!

Anyone have an idea of waht is happening??

My Fax works this way. I have an audiocodes gateway running between my PSTN telephony system and my LAN.

In Elastix, I Create an IAX extension 1000 e then an Inbound route pointing to this extension. In the Inbound route, i have this:

    - Detect Fax = Yes
    - Fax Detection Type = SIP
    - Fax Detection Time = 4
    - Fax Destination:
    - Fax Recipient = My Fax (1000)

    - Set Destination
    - Fax Recipient = My Fax (1000)

Am i missing anything for this Fax Viewer work??? Does anyone know where it saves the pdf files, so I can look at permissions or something like that?

Tks for your time and have a nice day!!!

Or, at least, can anyone tell me where is the pdf directory generated by hylafax. Maybe it's a permission !

    Tks again.

I am using the fax features in elastix 2 without any problem.

But for my understanding you don't use it according to elastix rules. You mix between elastix fax system and freepbx fax system.

In elastix you just create as you describes an iax2 client.
But after this: Instaed of the inbound route, you have to create an virtuell fax.
This will do the rest completely. It will detect the fax, mails it as email and you get a copy of the fax, which you can be read by the fax viewer.

Is this what you are looking for? Or do I misunderstnand you?

    Regards

    Nili
