Hi,

I'm testing the new Elastix 0.9 for a project by one of our client. As we don't have lot of time, i need to use existing software, and Elastix seems to be the most advanced and complete i tested.

But there are few request from our client i can't implement with Elastix:
- Send Fax directly to a printer
- Centralization for the reporting as there are 8 remote sites which will each have one Asterisk box.
- LDAP or Radius for authentication
- clustering
- using a SIMBOX for outgoing call to Mobile phone.

If you can help, we are very interested in Elastix

- Send Fax directly to a printer
Maybe this would be possible if you write a script to replace the script that sends the fax to an email. I think it would be a simple task.

- Centralization for the reporting as there are 8 remote sites which will each have one Asterisk box.
Hmm... maybe you can modify the /etc/asterisk/cdr_mysql.conf

- LDAP or Radius for authentication
I think this will be a little bit complicated.

- clustering
It's possible because Elastix is based on CentOS 5

- using a SIMBOX for outgoing call to Mobile phone.
Sorry, I have not heard about SIMBOX. Can you explain a little bit more in detail?

Thanks Edgar,

About the Simbox, this is a box directly wired to the pabx who care about mobile communication. You just put a SIM card in it (like for a mobile phone) and all "internal to mobile" communication are sent to the Simbox.
Here is a link to one : http://www.2n.cz/products/gsm_gateways/ ... teway.html

and there is an asterisk how to, so it must be quite easy to setup.
