    Afternoon,

I am trying to install a fax to email module in freepbx, due to the server not having any.

however everytime i try uploading it i get the following message

The following error(s) occurred processing the uploaded file:

•File extracting to invalid location: res_fax-1.6.2.0_1.3.0-x86_32/
•File extracting to invalid location: res_fax-1.6.2.0_1.3.0-x86_32/res_fax.so
•File extracting to invalid location: res_fax-1.6.2.0_1.3.0-x86_32/res_fax.conf
•File extracting to invalid location: res_fax-1.6.2.0_1.3.0-x86_32/README
•File extracting to invalid location: res_fax-1.6.2.0_1.3.0-x86_32/LICENSE

Does anyone know how to resolve this, or where the best place to download a module for this is.

The fax to email will be from a SIP trunk if this makes a difference?

    Thanks

Elastix already has one Fax Module, where inbound faxes are delivered to mailboxes.
I think, that you should take a look at it.
I encourage you to read Elastix Without Tears from the Manual section.

I have looked at this, the reason I asked about the module is because when I try to activate it I get the following error message within the extension:

ERROR: No FAX modules detected! Fax-related dialplan will NOT be generated. This module requires Fax for Asterisk or spandsp based app_fax or app_rxfax to function.

    Hmmm...
I think that you are doing it incorrectly...
Write down step by step the procedure that you are doing to configure Elastix Integrated Fax system
