I have thought about this same issue even though I am yet to use the fax feature. So my question to the Elastix guys is; why can't fax clients be entered by COMPUTER NAME instead of IP addresses so that in DHCP mode (which is what most if not all computer networks use) there is no problem. So that the names can be resolved to their respective dynamic IP addresses.

Really think about this, who uses static IP addresses on computers on their data network? Not me and not anyone I know of. So this really needs to change or better yet a web based fax feature such as Avantfax integration can come in and solve this problem where one does not need to set clients anymore as long as one has a browser then fax can be sent and received.
