i have a small problem here i dont know you guys experience the same.

im using dynamic ip address from my ISP. and i have premium DYNDNS account for update the dns.

i notice that everytime the ip given by the ISP renewed. all my external sip clients located all over my country can make calls. they successfully dial but at exactly 20 seconds they disconnect.

Hi there
That could probably be the following:

1) The ip address is not being upgraded against the domain by DYNDNS due to a failure in their monitoring software.
2) Do you have an application running in the elastix server that automaticly checks the ip address against the domain and renews it everytime the ip changes?. This application should be provided by DYNDNS.

Good luck

I had a similar issue on my 1.3 system.
I edited the /etc/asterisk/sip_custom.conf and added this single line: defaultexpirey=3600
and all has been good ever since.

you can use the elastix gui for that:

PBX > Tools > File Editor

i forgot to mention that my router got automatic dyndns update activated..

every time the isp gave a new ip address

the dyndns will update the dns..

then problem comes... all sip clients located at the other side of the world disconnect at exactly 20 secs

to make the system normal again..

i will always have to reboot the system..

this is really annoying..

i already put the

defaultexpirey=3600

and let's wait for isp to renew my ip...:)

hope there is not 20seconds nightmare again:)
