Extension ringing non stop (continuously)

Hi..

I have setup the IVR where the caller can enter the extension number directly and it will ring that extension. However, if there is no one to pick up the phone the handset will continue to ring even after the caller has put down the phone. Has anyone experience this? I am using Elastix 1.6.2-7 (upgrade from 1.5). Thanks.

Welcome tivo:

My guess is that although you didn't say anything about your system, you are using analog trunks and have incorrect "far end disconnect supervision" (or none).

What you have in chan_dahdi.conf must match what your provider sends (or not ;) ) there are many posts here that cover the problem, search for "busydetect" and you will find some of them.
