Extension fell out of Ring Group permanately

    I have had this happen with two different customers, I have an extension lets say 9600 that is part of a ring group, well out of nowhere for some reason that extension will not ring along with the other extensions in the same group. The only work around I have found is to create a new extension for the phone and add it that way, but I would like to know the reason for this and why maybe something in cache that is old and needs to be deleted, I am using Aastra IP phones but not sure if that would cause the problem.

    I might suggest

    rasterisk -x 'database show'|grep <working extension>

    and

    rasterisk -x 'database show'|grep <non wiorking extension>

    and compare the two for any noticeable differences in the "state" of those extensions when it next misbehaves, Maybe as small as a DND set on ?
