    A question for the gurus.

    I have a client that will not change his analog panasonic PBX yet.. but wants to try voip.

    He has a main office with a small 6x24 analog PBX, and one branch office with no phones but has a P2P wifi link. He needs an extension from the PBX there.

    We need to provide the following solution PSTN--> AnalogPBX--VoipAdaptor-->WIFI-Link-->VoipAdaptor->analogphone

    What would you suggest for the voip adaptors? a pair of atas? one FXO one FXS? All comments and suggestions are welcomed.

    thanks

    No Asterisk or Elastix needed here , a pair of linksys fxs boxes will work fine if you have a spare fxo(trunk port) on the PBX, replace that with a linksys fxo (3100 series) if only fxs ports (station ports) are available on the PBX.

    Hi Dicko thanks for the reply

    I had my doubts as how to treat the PBXs stations/ext ports. Its practically a PSTN port right?

    PBXStationPort-->SPA3102_on_FXO----LAN----PAP2T-on_FXS_to_Phone

    They should be able to be configured to dial each other when ring or off-hook right?
    just double checking
    thanks

    yes, look for "hotline" or "ring-down" example configs
