entry/leave sound plays though agent is on call

    I have installed Vicidial with the following version details:

    OS: Ubuntu 8.04
    astguiclient 2.0.5.1rc1
    asterisk 1.4.21.2

    My problem is that, though an agent is already logged in and is currently on call, the entry/leave sound keeps on playing. Both the agent and the client hear the very annoying sound. The server is already running for a year now, and we encountered this problem just 3 days ago up to now.

    The temporary remedy was to disable the entry/leave sound by editing extensions.conf (placing q on meetme dialplan), the agent no longer hears the sound, as well as the client.

    Please help me in fixing this. Thanks.

    Welcome here rosy:

    You will notice that these fora are for Elastix, which is a complete suite that is designed as a standalone PBX, Elastix has ait's own call-center so we don't use vicidial, , so unfortunately unless you replace your Ubuntu with Centos and astguiclient with FreePBX, and vicidial with call-center I doubt many will be able to help you.
