Running Elastix version 1.6-12. I have and astra 480I and a Polycom 501. The gui finds both phones. I select the phone model number and assign an extension to it. I then check both boxes under "set" and click set. The status changes to "Configured without incident". yet nothing changes on either phone. I can configure both phone manually and they work fine.

You must also configure your phone, and set it to use a TFTP, put the Elastix ip address, and leave the username and password by default.
Then reboot your phone

It is already in "Elastix Without Tears" :)

RTFM'ing almost always works, not doing so will often "spoil your whole day" :) :)

If you setup the dhcp server it will work just fine (mostly) if you don't you will have to hand-craft it as jgutierrez told you how, it is a good idea to learn how this thing works, but anyway, apart from grumpy old me you are in good hands here, welcome
