I was trying the new distro of Elastix 2 on my Mac with VMWare Fusion.

when I try to install Elastix, after the partitioning questions, I always receive the error saying the hardware can not be found or initialized and I can't proceed. I tried to specify in the VM params different types of Linux kernels with no success.

In the past I successfully installed for testing purposes the 1.6 distro but now I can't move on ... any suggestions on any special setting to set up Elastix 2 under VmWare ? Thanks a lot for any suggestion !

All I can say is stay away from VMWare.

Success on a test Desktop platform can be done with Virtualbox, especially on a Mac.

Good luck.
