    To the Powers To Be,

I have noticed lately that when I sign on to this web site that when search through the forums it seems to perform ok, it's when I go to respond to a question/comment that once I hit "submit" it takes (what seems forever) at least a few minutes (if even at all) for it to complete and return to the forum.

I thought maybe it was on my end, but I have checked all that I can think of here, and, I am not having probs on any other sites.

I have noticed this gradually getting worse over the last month. Are we updating web site or should I look for something else on my end. Sometimes two heads are better than one...

I am running Mozell Firefox 3.5.8 for Ubuntu canonical-1.0 if this helps.

Just wondering if anyone else is having same problem.

    Thanks

    Amphibian

    Amphibian,

I am seeing some slowdown, even a reset connection today, but I suspect that it is the extra load from Holiday, kids on internet games etc...

I don't think it is your end...

I just take the extra precaution when replying to messages, I copy the text before I save, just in case it loses the connection or hangs....

    Regards

    Bob

    Bob,

Thanks for the reply. I been having this prob for about two months but it has been gradually getting worse for the last few week. In addition, when I sign in I stay signed (as long as I don't try to send a reply) in until I log out, but if I sign in and go to reply to a message I get about two lines typed and then I see I'm in Guest mode, very frustrating at times you know.

I'm glad to see that I am not the only one to have this prob, so thanks again.

Washington doesn't count, you have to be either a place or a dead president or DNS fails you can't be both :)

I had a deer look through my kitchen window this morning, but I think I will "karmalize" you anyway cos you make me laugh :)

    dicko

p.s. we will NOT be having venison for easter!!

I have problems with this forum for at least a month now.
The worst was four weeks ago when almost all the pages had a timeout and it was a nightmare to read the threads (that's also why my number of posts did dramatically shrunk).

Now it's better but still not as fast as it was two months ago.

    Fernando,

<< Apologies because this is getting chatty >>

Dicko is from the State of California, USA ... the only place where a Governor ( Arnold S. ) and Legislature, in the discussion of legalizing 'funny stuff', so it can be taxed, has a county (province) that is requesting economic relief due to lost retail business due to the legalization and lost agricultural supply sales.

    Go figure ...

    Jim

    =================

    Fernando,

    Now, back to Amphibian info.,

I've checked, seemed to happen, in force checking from the Mac Platform, both 10.6.3 my office unit and 10.4.11 ( old beat up G4 portable PowerBook, with paper clip holding broken hinge :silly: ) at home ... from my 10.6.3 - I've logged on from the following to look and see: Safari, FireFox, Opera, Camino & OmniWeb --- Seems to get a bit touchy; but not always. I have not checked for time of day issues to really notice if there's an impact from what could be called 'Time Zone Access' bubbles. Dicko & I are both on West Coast USA, Pacific Daylight Time, so we might, well I am at least, checking access after traffic has dropped off. I haven't seen a posting from one of our friends in the S. Western Pacific ( N.Z. or Aus. ) noting this. You and Fernando are further East, and might be getting pounded a bit more due to 'corporate lunchtime surfing' and general web overload ... can we say "www.xxx.ohbaby-baby-baby/"

My think here is that PaloSanto monitors these forums a bit, the overall issue is being looked into.

Regards to the Lone Star State from the "Socialist State of Washington",

    Jim

p.s. Happin' right now  ... thank the gods for "back" buttons, copy / paste :S ... it's 9:15 PDT / 12:15 EDT  ... them'd darn porn surfers !

    =============

    Jim

PD derecho Happin 'ahora: angry: ... agradecer a los dioses "de vuelta" botones, copiar / pegar: S ... es 9:15 PDT / 12:15 EDT: dry: ... them'd darn surfistas porno! : Lol:

    terrible response time again today.
All the pages are coming back with the Elastix error page asking to contact the administrator.
Took four reloads and 3 minutes per page to navigate in the forum.

Please do something, I won't be able to continue to read this forum as I'm becoming more and more frustrated each and every time.

Hi just refreshing this post set ... still hanging, folk's are getting double postings ....

After the web browser has been "spinning" for quite a few seconds, I've just been clicking back to the "Elastix Forum" to break free. Seems to work. No clue as to why
