    Gentlemen,

Currently I manage to restrict my SSH access to the public (hence my Elastix is in Public IP). Now I need to know how am I going to restrict the access of the Elastix web GUI. It is like only specific IP address are only allowed to browse my elastix.

    Regards,

    Jessie

For IP's,it should best be done on a firewall, either your gateway firewall, or the one that is noticeably absent in Elastix, (you will have to build it :) ), for user access you must rely on .htaccess

(as a note, check your access to http://<ipaddress>/admin if the well known login gets in . . .)

In the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file, Search for

    # Controls who can get stuff from this server.
    #
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all

and change it to Allow from <IP address that needs access>

Thank you very much rejil.rajan, this reayy good remidee, I appreciate your time. Now when I open up the Elastix on web I get an Apache test page.

Yet, I prefer what Dicko suggested, firewall. This will allow me to block other ports not only the http port and unauthorized IP other than to VoIP ports or any related to it.

    Again thanks rejil.rajan...cheers,

    Jessie
