I am having issues with our Elastix server thats disconnects random calls on random times for mobile and landline numbers.

I have been checking the logs but cant find any entries for dropped calls.

This started about a month ago and no modifications have been made to the Elastix server since the first few weeks that it was up and running.

Hardware: Yeastar TDM-800 8 Port Analog Interface Cards in a Intel Machine.
    Uptime: 143 days, 2 hour(s), 19 minute(s)
    Version: 1.16 -12

Any idea of what might be causing this? or what troubleshooting can I implement in the this situation?

    Thanks

    Kyle out =.=

Hi wasi.syed, wellcome to the forum!

Check your dahdi config files, usually those disconnect problems are because you use busydetect with a low value on busycount. Try to increase that number, or even better, if your provider supports polarity changes for signalling you can use answeronpolarityswitch and hanguponpolarityswitch, which is much more reliable.

You have a TDM (E1) circuit, as such the busydetect is inappropriate, Ramoncio's post was against someone with FXO (analog trunks). all channel signaling on your hardware is done within the D-channel, so don't go down that rabbit hole,

Have a technician at your provider, monitor and diagnose your trunk, you need to match your providers clocking, framing, line-coding and signaling and switchtype.

If you agree with your provider on ALL the above, then:

You need to set your line build-out and gain settings to "normal".

If you don't know how, then I'm afraid you will need to contract a professional.

    sorry

You can troubleshoot the D-channel with

pri set debug 1 span 1

    for intense debug info

pri set debug 2 span 1

watch what happens when the call is unexpectedly disconnected

The log is written to /var/log/asterisk/full complete with a timestamp. You can use cat, less grep or anything appropriate to Analyse it.

Windows notepad is incompatible with linux text files, it uses the wrong line terminator.

    Re: Re:Elastix Random Disconnect Issue

you have a common issue due to improper sangoma driver build and asterisk bug probably u have 1,.6.2.11 or less then 13...u need to upgrade sangoma driver to 3.5.19 dahdi to 2.4.0 and asterisk to 1.6.2.17 to eliminate the random disconnect (best also with .32.1 latest kernel)
