    Hello

I have installed Elastix + Openfire to my virtual server.

If use spark, instant messaging work properly.
If use x-lit, voice messaging work properly also.

    Question:
    1) X-lite version 4 give ability to send a instant message to other user.
But when I sending I have error "Sorry, your message cannot be delivered. Please try again later."

Where can be problem? Possible need install something additional in Openfire?
or make some changes in x-lite account settings?

    2) Inside Elastix web interface in section PBX, I add some extensions.
    Question:
Is is possible after connecting to server thought x-lite, to have all extestions registered on server in x-lite contact list ?

    Thank you!
    Dmitrij

hi guys they re different protocols...openfire integrates with asterisk as BLF for friends for example and needs an asterisk module to be added in the installation...for xlite to work in messages you need to have sip messaging capabilities in the sip server and the elastix included 1.6.x asterisk does not support sip text messages

Ok!so my conclusion is...if i'm using Elastix 2.0 with Asterisk 1.6.x... i cant use xlite 4 for IM(because xlite 4 doesnt support jabber(now XMPP) and SIP/SIMPLE), i must use xlite for voice, voicemail...and other client (spark) for IM...isnt it? well, it is as I have with Openfire...

    Thanks!
