    Hi Guys,

I want to configure and IVR for my Elastix PBX.

Does anyone know where I can find a good text-to speech software, whether free/sold, for making an IVR.

I tried ATA bell labs but the output voice was too robotic...need good human like voice

    Please assist asap.

Find someone in the company with a good and pleasant speeking voice and let them record the scripts with an extension. Works pretty well and is not robotic.

Have to agree with Strongbow242 on that one....

I have had a long hard look at most of the text to speech engines (free and commercial) and to be honest most sound no where as good as someone in the office.

The issue with many of the speech engines is that you can spend ages working the words to try and get it to sound right, and no matter what you do, it still seems to end up with audio artifacts in it....the minute the customer hears that, they know it is a robotic voice...

    Regards

    Bob
