    Hi all,

I was only just talking with a fellow Elastix user about a development roadmap for Elastix and we've noticed there isn't one, or if there is, it's hard to find.

So what we'd like to see is a publicly viewable development roadmap for Elastix showing upcoming version releases, new features etc that users should look forward too.

I believe this would be a great addition to the Elastix site and may help to generate more interest in the product :)

    Regards,

    Dale Evans
    Manager

Yes. I think that it's a very good idea!

But, who and how participate? :)

Well the developers would add info to the roadmap of course as they are the one's building it.

We'd be the users simply viewing it.

Do you get what I mean?

    Ok!

Because, i make some codes for (End_point configrator) and i don't know where i can put the idea, the new code, the futur idea...etc.
So, no road map... it's not simple.

    Right, yes I understand you.

Ok, so a user editable roadmap maybe? Like a wiki entry?

I was moreso thinking for standard configs and anything that is developed by a user (such as you) would be a user contribution, so maybe a seperate roadmap for user contributions?

Normally, I'm already into the development team. (Normally). It's recent, so new. ;)
But, for exemple, i don't know where i put my works. (forum, wiki?...etc).

With a specific area for all development, it's gonna be more easy no?

But, yes, like a Wiki, it's good.

Well that all depends on exactly what areas you work on Dandardf...but what I am proposing as that all the developers pool together their information, even if it be in their own private forum, and from that, built a roadmap on the site. Something that shows members what features to expect or that have been planned, but something totally seperate to a developers "log" on what they are doing.

Of course, we already have a feature requests area and that's a good thing to have, especially in a community backed project like Elastix, so no need for change there :)

We've been asking for a roadmap for years without sucess.
Maybe now, Rafael can get them the message.
    Thumbs up for Rafael!

It seems that even Rafael prefers to stay quiet about the Roadmap.
