I have latest Elastix 2, all CentOS updates and FreePBX updates loaded.
Elastix immediately picked up my hardware:
    dahdi_hardware -vvv
    pci:0000:00:0a.0 zaphfc+ 1397:2bd0 HFC-S ISDN BRI card
    pci:0000:00:0b.0 wctdm24xxp+ d161:0800 Wildcard TDM800P

    And sees the ISDN channels:
    cat /proc/dahdi/*
    Span 1: WCTDM/0 "Wildcard TDM800P Board 1" (MASTER)

    1 WCTDM/0/0 FXSKS (In use) RED(SWEC: OSLEC)
    2 WCTDM/0/1 FXSKS (In use) RED(SWEC: OSLEC)
    3 WCTDM/0/2 FXSKS (In use) RED(SWEC: OSLEC)
    4 WCTDM/0/3 FXSKS (In use) RED(SWEC: OSLEC)
5 WCTDM/0/4 FXSKS (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC)
6 WCTDM/0/5 FXSKS (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC)
7 WCTDM/0/6 FXSKS (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC)
8 WCTDM/0/7 FXSKS (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC)
    Span 2: ZTHFC1 "HFC-S PCI A ISDN card 0 [TE] " AMI/CCS

9 ZTHFC1/0/1 Clear (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC)
10 ZTHFC1/0/2 Clear (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC)
    11 ZTHFC1/0/3 Hardware-assisted HDLC (In use)
    Errors: 0

And I create a ZAP trunks (DAHDI compatible) with ZAP Identifier 9 or 10 or 11 and no incoming nor outgoing calls.
First time ISDN'er so I might be missing a simple point.

In Asterisk CLI when I dial in, nothing happens, when I try to dial out through ISDN, I get:
-- Executing [s@macro-dialout-trunk:20] NoOp("SIP/101-00000007", "Dial failed for some reason with DIALSTATUS = CHANUNAVAIL and HANGUPCAUSE = 0") in new stack
    -- Executing [s@macro-dialout-trunk:21] Goto("SIP/101-00000007", "s-CHANUNAVAIL,1") in new stack

I understand that different countries implement ISDN slightly differently, so what should I change to work for South Africa or is it a general wrong setup from my side?

    Thanks in advance

    Thakns for the reply.
    Channel 9 & 10 is the ISDN.

    dahdi show channels
Chan Extension Context Language MOH Interpret Blocked State
    pseudo default default In Service
    1 from-pstn default In Service
    2 from-pstn default In Service
    3 from-pstn default In Service

But here I cannot get it to not show 'Down', which I suppose is the problem:
