I just get elastix 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 installed from the iso image. after installation, I connect to mysql db, and show databases:

mysql> show databases;
+--------------------+
Database
+--------------------+
information_schema
mysql
test
+--------------------+

This means the asterisk db is not created at all. I can't wait for the new iso to come out with the fix, can anybody point to me how to manually create the db and populate them ?

I can access the front end. but when I click on the pbx tab, it shows an empty page.
I searched this forum, and people say I should run "yum update" , I tried that and it doesn't help. that is why I start to investigate the database, and to my surprise, the
database doesn't even exist with fresh installation.

Jimmy888,

First of all make sure that you have the latest ISO image of sourceforge downloads area. I know you probably have, but make sure, it actually sounds like a corrupted iso.

I have loaded the latest iso onto 5 systems (all now in production) and have not come across the issue that you describe. If I get a chance tonight, I will try a download and install to test.

As you can appreciate this Database is a core part of the Elastix system and it would be highly unusual to release it without someone noticing, and as I said, I have installed on many machines already....with no faults....

Even with a hardware compatibility, it is hard to believe that it would fail to create the main databases (but unusual things have happened before).

Just one other thing, did you perform a Yum update on your system after loading the iso and before you went to the PBX Tab???

Regards

Bob

You might want to try the solution that Ramoncio proposes in this thread.

forums.whirlpool.net.au
this worked for me
from user GUNNY1
I did a third install and used the same password for root, mysql and admin.

The other thing I did was not use the '#' character in the password.

I actually think its the # character in the passwords that mucked it up.

These are the only two things I did differently, now it all works.

If it is possible for you to verify that you have the very latest ISO and then reproduce this issue, it would be excellent to open a report on the bug tracker at http://bugs.elastix.org .
