    I'm trying to configure the GXP 4104 with elastix ( freepbx ) to handle our inbound and outbound calls , IVR , digital receiptanist and such features.

    i have good voip knowledge but not a professional or expert.

    Anyway now i just want to know the initial steps to be done i have read and followed book : Elastix without tears but anyway it doesn't cover the GXP4104 4 FXO gateway issue

    1. Gxp4104 has 4 PSTN Lines connected to it
    2. Entered the PBX IP Address in profile1 & changed SIP registration to off
    3. Changed the Stage Method to 1
    4. the Unconditional Call Forward to VOIP: ch1-4:;
    5. i have 3 extensions with IP Phones setup correctly and calling each other fine.

    what shall i do to make sure that the GXP4104 is forwarding to Elastix pbx

    i want to be able to Add the PSTN lines as Trunks and also sure inbound & outbound calls through and from the PSTN

    when i call any of the phone numbers .. a Digital mesage comes : The number you have dialed is not in service .. something like that and hangs up.

    when i create trunks in Elastix ? shall it be SIP trunk ? and what are the parameters i should enter and is there is any user or secret ?

    when i create inbound routes any special configurations ?

    thank you

    i would like to tell you i have done the Outbound trunk as a SIP Trunk with the following information to help anyone having the same problem :

    PEER Details :

    context=from-trunk
    disallow=all
    allow=alaw
    dtmfmode=rfc2833
    host=HOST/IP
    insecure=port
    type=peer

    USER Details :

    context=from-internal
    disallow=all
    allow=alaw
    host=HOST/IP
    type=user

    but i can't get the Inbound routes to work..

    and the Book Elastix without tears is having screenshots from another version i think.

    in version 2.0 i don't have ring groups in the Inbound routes !
