    Hi,

Elastix is the best alternative to Trixbox !!!
i have a large project to deploy before the middle of November.

Do you have scheddule a launch date for Distro 0.8.9 ?
Stable Distro 0.8.5 is a little buggy to deploy in production.

    Thanks

.9 will be the next major release. From what I have heard from the developers they are looking at a beta release around the 1st of November. Dont take that as a certain though.

Since you seem to have more information than anyone else, could you shed some light on a few things?

    1. Have they UN embedded the freepbx for 0.8.9?
    2. Have they fixed the other multitude of problems with 0.8.5?
    3. What are the supposed advantages of 0.8.9? I use 0.8.4 beta 2 before they snuck in the embedded version of freepbx into the scenario and it seems to be working fine as long as I do not update any of the elastix files.

I really like Elastix but I do not see very much interaction or response from the developers, nor do they seem to want to listen to input or requests.

    Hello Cowboy47,

We hope to release 0.9-beta this Monday, Oct. 29th.

This version will fix the previous bugs and will include and unembedded freepbx option based in freepbx 2.3.1.

Also it will include an hardware detection tool, a echo canceller and a package manager.

0.9 will support now rhino and openvox hardware and BRI hardware based in mISDN 1.1.6.
