Trying to test and implement directed call pickup and running into issues. To be clear, what I want it to be able to dial a feature code and an extension, to pickup an incoming call on that extension. i.e. if I hear Ext 100 ringing, from Ext 101 I want to dial **100 and receive that incoming call.

I have Group Pickup working, if I put Ext 100 and Ext 101 in the same pickup group, I can dial *8 from Ext 101 and receive a call inbound to 100. I hav the "Call Pickup (Can be used with GXP-2000)" feature set to the default of ** but when I dial **100 from Ext 101 the system appears to attempt an outgoing call over my SIP trunk, I get a recorded message from my SIP Trunk vendor.

Any thoughts on how to get this working properly? I have research online, tried several manual changes to extensions_custom.conf, etc. with no luck. Using a combination of Polycom 501's and Linksys SPA2102 ATA, perhaps that is adding to my issues.

    Thank you in advance -
