    Hi,

What type of extension is it? softphone, hardphone?

Remember that for initial tests and configuration, the ip phones (soft or hard) had to be in the same sub network were the elastix server is. In other words, local extensions.

    Waiting for your comments

    hi "telecomtechnician"
    thx for reply
can i've U'r IM or something
    so we can share effectively

extension type is SIP (for softphone)
    softphone that i used X-lite
my server n client still in a subnet

is that true ? if i add an extension in web , won't be seen in sip.conf (assume I add an SIP extension)

    Hi

I have repeated this a lot and I will do it again:

Asterisk is a pure IPPBX and works in command line and text files, Elastix is a web interfase with asterisk and a lot of applications embemded with it.
So this means that the approach to learn and then configure MUST BE DIFFERENT.
You could have a LOT of experience in asterisk, but when you enter to work in ELASTIX it is a totally different ball game and the approach must be different.
