Welcome here eirevoip :

Unless you have the older PERC 6i hardware version and not the s3nn (where s stands for software, i.e. a fake-raid) then it's almost certainly a no better performer than the software raid that you DO have in the OS, if that is the case I suggest you just bypass it in the bios and follow the advise of the link you referenced. I believe that Elastix (Centos) can and will detect the PERC real-raid stuff, just read-up on mdadm raid management. and type linux advanced at the start of setup and do the partitions manually. I think you won't be disappointed with the performance.

Dear Tensk8:

Did you purchase the server? did it work? is everything running ok? what elastix version are you using? what centos version? I'm afraid about SATA hard drives, because i'm not sure if Centos will include drivers for those SATA hard drive inside Dell T110.

What about installation? any suggestion?

We are thinking to purchase the same hardware, so, any comment will highly
appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

yes I purchase the T110 server but I'm using it as my VMWare server.

I can install Elastix on it, the next week and update with my experience.

Regards,
