Hi all expert,

I have problem in setting my Cisco 7942G on Elastix. I was using that phone in Asterisk 1.4, and now move to Elastix using all the same config files but it is not working.

I use firmware SIP42.8-3-3SR2S.

By the way, how can I have Cisco phone work with Elastix Endpoint Manager?

Please assist. Thanks. http://forum.elastix.org/old_files/SEP002155551F40.txt

This may be a non-starter, but have you verified proper file ownership for the tftp files? I ran into an issue with this on a system using a whole bunch of 7960s recently-- though I do not recall if it was related to the upgrade or something else we were doing at the time.

And I assume you have the other tftp files in place?

Hi.
Can you give us your example config file please?
That can be useful sometimes. ;)

Else, and more, where can I get this firmware?
I don't talk about the cisco web site because i'm not register. ;)

Hi all,

I fixed the problem finally as the <phoneLabel>xxxxxxx</phoneLabel> cannot be exceed 12 characters!
Now can verify the cnf.

However, does anyone know how can I activiate the services button and personal directory button on 7942 phoneset? I search on the internet, most forum are for 7940 or 7960 series phoneset.

What I want to activate is have speed dial feature and internal phone directory on the 7942/7962 phoneset. Please advice!!!

Thanks very much.
