Status Says: Phone Unprovisioned

We followed the same steps as we did with our polycoms and they work. Any tips? Thank you!

I guess that Cisco 7940 is not yet supported by the endpoint manager. You may configure by using its web interface of the phone

The 7940 is supported but you need to make sure that you have the proper files in /tftpboot

OS79xx.txt
the proper .bin, .sbn, .loads, .sb2 for the firmware version you are using
RINGLIST.DAT
SIPDefault.cnf

http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+phone+cisco+79xx
http://asterisk.agmp.org/uploads/beta/EPC/tftpboot/

the endpoint configuration will just add a SIP[mac].cnf for your specific phone.

You will also find some additional xml utils and bmp for the 7940 in this thread:

Also, you have to make sure that the mac address of your phone is in the sqlite database, if not your phone will not be recognized.
