Asterisk will bridge two legs natively:

if you want a conference of more than than three you will need to send the call to a conference bridge that you have previously defined , please read "Elastix Without Tears". your button just needs to do that transfer within FreePBX' conferences limitations.

@ asykgsm and anyone else who can help!! :)

Hi, we have purchased several 7911G Cisco phones without knowing that we need to convert them to SIP. We are currently using Snom devices with Elastix which works fine and going through hordes and hordes of articles on how to convert various Cisco phones but not the 7911G.
You have managed to do so - how? Can you please help out with what you did, files to download etc?

    Thanx

    D.

    Hi Asykgsm,

I'm not sure if this will help since you're the 7911G uses XML configuration style, but on my 7960G, there is a SIPDefault.cnf with the following line...

    # Allow for the bridge on a 3way call to join remaining parties upon hangup
    cnf_join_enable: "1" ; 0-Disabled, 1-Enabled (default)

May be worth taking a look at.

I know from working on Cisco CallManager that the 7911G infact has a Conference softkey under the SCCP firmware, but they may have excluded that feature with the SIP firmware.

If I find anything more, I'll post it here. =0)

    Thanks,
    Andrey
