    G'day,

    Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide or howto showing all of the relevant cidsignal, cidstart, sendcalleridafter etc chan_dahdi config entries for Australia? I haven't been able to find a complete set of info.

    I'm pretty sure thats where the problem lies.

    I am running an Elastix 2.0.0 R58 box with an Openvox A400P with 4 FXO modules.
    Asterisk is 1.6.2.13 and Dahdi Drivers are 2.3.0.1.

    When I dial in, I can hear it wait two rings (I'm using sendcalleridafter=2 at the moment), then the call hits the main ring group as it should - but still no CID...

    Code:
        -- Starting simple switch on 'DAHDI/3-1'
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:1] Set("DAHDI/3-1", "__FROM_DID=s") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:2] Gosub("DAHDI/3-1", "app-blacklist-check,s,1") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@app-blacklist-check:1] GotoIf("DAHDI/3-1", "0?blacklisted") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@app-blacklist-check:2] Set("DAHDI/3-1", "CALLED_BLACKLIST=1") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@app-blacklist-check:3] Return("DAHDI/3-1", "") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:3] ExecIf("DAHDI/3-1", "1 ?Set(CALLERID(name)=)") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:4] Set("DAHDI/3-1", "__CALLINGPRES_SV=allowed_not_screened") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:5] Set("DAHDI/3-1", "CALLERPRES()=allowed_not_screened") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:6] Set("DAHDI/3-1", "FAX_DEST=ext-fax^501^1") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:7] Answer("DAHDI/3-1", "") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:8] Wait("DAHDI/3-1", "4") in new stack
        -- Executing [s@from-pstn:9] Goto("DAHDI/3-1", "ext-group,600,1") in new stack
        -- Goto (ext-group,600,1)

    I've managed to figure out the /etc/dahdi/system.conf settings and modprobe.conf settings to configure for Australia but still no CID.
    Code:
    dmesg | grep FX
    Module 0: Installed -- AUTO FXO (AUSTRALIA mode)
    Module 1: Installed -- AUTO FXO (AUSTRALIA mode)
    Module 2: Installed -- AUTO FXO (AUSTRALIA mode)
    Module 3: Installed -- AUTO FXO (AUSTRALIA mode)

    Cheers.

    Do you mean cidsignalling in chan_dahdi.conf?

    Code:
    [channels]
    context=from-pstn
    signalling=fxs_ks
    rxwink=300 ; Atlas seems to use long (250ms) winks
    usecallerid=yes
    cidsignalling=bell
    cidstart=ring
    distinctiveringaftercid=yes
    sendcalleridafter=3
    hidecallerid=no
    callwaiting=yes
    usecallingpres=yes
    callwaitingcallerid=yes
    threewaycalling=yes
    transfer=yes
    canpark=yes
    cancallforward=yes
    callreturn=yes
    echocancel=yes
    echocancelwhenbridged=no
    faxdetect=incoming
    echotraining=800
    rxgain=0.0
    txgain=0.0
    callgroup=1
    pickupgroup=1

    Yeah exactly but I thought I'd try it. That was the config it one of the experiments that I tried.

    This also doesn't work - default settings with just the sendcalleridafter entry:
    Code:
    [channels]
    context=from-pstn
    signalling=fxs_ks
    rxwink=300 ; Atlas seems to use long (250ms) winks
    usecallerid=yes
    #cidsignalling=dtmf
    #cidstart=ring
    #distinctiveringaftercid=yes
    sendcalleridafter=2
    hidecallerid=no
    callwaiting=yes
    usecallingpres=yes
    callwaitingcallerid=yes
    threewaycalling=yes
    transfer=yes
    canpark=yes
    cancallforward=yes
    callreturn=yes
    echocancel=yes
    echocancelwhenbridged=no
    faxdetect=incoming
    echotraining=800
    rxgain=0.0
    txgain=0.0
    callgroup=1
    pickupgroup=1

    Will need to investigate further.

    Also one thing that may be tripping me up - does the box need a reboot after changing this config file or is just restarting Asterisk fine?

    Re: Re:CID with OpenVox A400P in Australia

    In which config file? I can see that entry in /etc/asterisk/dahdi-channels.conf for each channel:
    Code:
    ;;; line="4 WCTDM/4/3 FXSKS (In use) (SWEC: OSLEC)"
    signalling=fxs_ks
    callerid=asreceived
    group=0
    context=from-pstn
    channel => 4
    callerid=
    group=
    context=default
    Ah crap - just noticed there are two callerid= entries - will the second be ignored or will it blank the entry?

    I've stripped out the empty callerid= and group= entries in /etc/asterisk/dahdi-channels.conf now.

    Is restarting Asterisk enough or do I need to restart other services/reboot for these config changes to take effect?

    I restarted Asterisk only, but removing these entries still didn't solve the problem.

    Cheers

    Just tried usedistinctiveringdetection=yes and distinctiveringaftercid=yes still no joy.

    I'm working remotely so I haven't had a chance to get in there and plug an analogue phone in. The customer verified with Telstra that CND is enabled on the lines...

    Anything else I should look at?
    Cheers

    Search out the Whirlpool VOIP forum in OZ, or wait for our esteemed antipodean Bob to answer, I'm sure either one will an provide an authoritative configuration to you.

    Thanks, but I'm not prepared to do this just yet - the box is in production. I have another box with an A400P in it, but I don't currently have access to it. I really hope this isn't going to occur on the other box too.

    I also want to nail down all the basics which I can't do remotely - especially plugging in a handset with Caller ID or a CND-GO and checking that the caller ID comes through.

    Are you serious? What is some crap like that going to do to solve the problem? The unfortunate circumstance is that the box was rushed into production because of it's other functions in Nagios network and environmental monitoring - not that I really need to justify that to you. After all - we all have to start somewhere.

    Other than the CID - the box works perfect from indial, outdial, fax, voicemail and IVR.

    I've got people telling me that the card is crap and people telling me that I can't manage a system I've just implemented - wtf ?!? Get real people.

    Could you load wctdm debug=10 and enable dtmf debug info in logger.conf?

    Simple question but has telstra enabled CID on the line? It is not on by default and I have seen many times they actually charge people for it but it isnt enabled.
