    Hello everyone,
I have one question: should elastix load in the asterisk the chan_zap.so module? Because I've installed Elastix 1.3 Stable and a "module show like zap" doesn't show any kind of chan_zap.so. Is this normal?
    Thank you!

    Dan,

What you are seeing is correct.

The new word on the block is DAHDI (Digium Asterisk Hardware Device Interface) due to a trademark issue on the Zaptel name.

    Further info is here..

    http://blogs.digium.com/2008/05/19/zapt ... -to-dahdi/

The idea is that in 1.4 Asterisk, the changes will be minimal/transparent as much as possible for standard configurations still supporting zap commands at the CLI. However in 1.6, the DAHDI command is used exclusively.

Sort of brings a new meaning to the saying "whos your dahdi??" :S

    Regards

    Bob
