    We have a strange behavior happening with incoming calls being answered by an extension that is dialing out.

    Example: An extension dials out. The next thing you know is that you are talking to someone who just called in, rather than ringing the number you called. Needless to say, it is very confusing for both parties.

    That extension is not in a ring group, but has the ability to pickup calls with *8.
    each of the extensions in the system have the following set in the extension

    parameters in FreePBX:

    callgroup=1
    pickupgroup=1

    I suspect it could have something to do with that. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    I wonder if this could have something to do with using kewlstart on the ZAP channel? Maybe changing to Loopstart might help? Any ideas?
    Thanks
