Callforwarding to outside not working

Hi,

I got a problem blocked me for 1 weeknow.

The feature callforwarding (*72) is enabled. But having the extention e.g. 2101 (DID 55392101) have the call-forwarding set to a outside number e.g. 913959988320, and somebody calls from outside (number could be 137523298822) to extension 2101, it hangs up. But when the call from an internal extension, e.g. 2105 to 2101, it works!

The cause has been identified that the ISP drop the call since the call ID was set to 137523298822, which is illegal.

Is there a way to replace the caller id to the internal number, in my case 55392101 instead of 137523298822?

In your Trunk setup page the fields and the mouse over help say:-


Outbound Caller ID


Caller ID for calls placed out on this trunk

Format: <#######>. You can also use the format: "hidden" <#######> to hide the CallerID sent out over Digital lines if supported (E1/T1/J1/BRI/SIP/IAX).

Some VoIP providers will drop the call if you try to send an invalid CallerID (one you don't 'own.' Use this to never send a CallerID that you haven't explicitly specified in this trunk or in the outbound callerid field of an extension/user. You might notice this problem if you discover that Follow-Me or RingGroups with external numbers don't work properly. Checking this box has the effect of disabling 'foreign' callerids from going out this trunk. You must define an Outbound Caller ID on the this trunk when checking this.

Hi Dicko,

The hidden <#######> format does not work.
Right now, I put a specific caller ID to the trunk for the call forwarding caller ID.
