Hi,
I've installed Elastix 1.3 and everything work very very well, but the call pickup doesn't work in a context diffent than the usual from-internal or if it is originated from an external line (from a trumk).
I've the context "from-internal-vip" created with the "Outbound Routes" tab, so I added it in the "extensions_custom.conf" as in the manual. Now I can do some calls, receive calls, receive messages from the voice mail, use some features like call transfer, but the CALL PICKUP doesn't work.
If i set the same extension to from-internal it works.
Can you help me to understand what am I missing?
I think it's just an include something somewhere to call this feature.
Thank you very much
Francesco

You guessed it,

Contexts are only aware of anything within that context, or any contexts that you explicitly include in that context.

e.g.

include => from-internal

at the top of your custom context.

Hope that gives you a clue.

(be careful, the inclusion is recursive)

You are right!!! I tried to include everything except this... I've to change the outboud routes (otherwise everyone can use the from-internal routes) but now it works for extension to extension calls.
Can you also help me for the zap to extension calls? It doesn't work also for from-internal.
Thank you very very much

Sorry, but not without more detailed information as to what your zap setup.

[file] [file] Ok, I've just done more tests and an extension in from-internal can pick-up a call generated from a from-intenal-vip, but a vip can not pick-up a call generate from a from-internal.
What do you need? My zapata.conf and my zaptel?

Possibly because from-internal can't see the from-internal-vip context? (but I thought that was your intent)

As to your Zap problems, I refer you to a thread to be found right here!

The thread is coincidentally named
"Inbound Route from Zaptel channel to sip extension"

I don't know if it's normal, but I tried a lot of different ways, but it doesn't work...
The "include => app-pickup" was already included...
Very very strange...
Tahnk you very much for your answer

ok, I would do the followiing:

[pickup-context]
include => app-pickup

and the rest of my contexts will include pickup-context, by the way how are you picking up calls?
Through pickup/callgroup options under an extension, or through the feature code ** ?
