I tried to investigate the rootcause of the memory issue. Though I have enough memory, something strange is happening and filling all the memory.

Some strange thing fills the log file. I have huge memory of log file created and thats the reason for capacity full issue.

See the below log details from Asterisk full log.

I am using A2billing calling card Callback feature and issue happens when it tries bride 2 SIP legs

Can some one help me what is this means "ast_read() called with no recorded file descriptor."

Sample log file

From dicko

That looks like

issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=14723

what version of asterisk are you running as it seems to be fixed?

rasterisk -x 'show version'
Output
Asterisk 1.4.24 built by root @ centos5-rpmbuilder.palosanto.com on a i686 running Linux on 2015-03-12 18:14:36 UTC

Sorry for this stupid question..

Dicko, from the link you provided I could see that it is already reported issue but I don't know how to apply patch for this. It is not clear about where to find the patch and how to apply.

Any help will be much appreciated

One way would be

yum update asterisk

SOLVED Re:Call hangup issue creates huge log file

Thanks

Issue solved.

I removed those huge log files and replaced a new empty file in /var/log/asterisk/ and set file owner as asterisk.

then updated asterisk by
yum update asterisk

Now I got the system back to normal. ( memory issue & 100% CPU issue resolved)

But I am not sure if this problem will arise back due to issues with call hangup. I don't know how to replicate the issue. will monitor it and update the forum if I face the same issue again.

AGAIN THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP.
