I've got a cheapie X100P Clone card, and just installed Elastix. What I want to do is simply set up a voice mail box that answers the phone, and takes a message (I'd also like to email messages, and/or web access, but I'm concentrating on the basics :)

I don't even know if the card is being recognized, and I'm not sure where to configure it. Do I need to edit some file somewhere, or is there a GUI way to set it up?

BTW, I'm a Windows boy, and I'm not too familiar with Linux.

    Thanks!

There are two files you need to configure:

    /etc/zaptel.conf
    /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf

An easy way to configure the first file (zaptel.conf) is to run the command:

    # genzaptelconf

This command must be executed by root

You can configure the second file by hand. Here you can find good documentation:

    http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+ ... apata.conf

If you need more help don't hesitate to reply.
