    Hi guys:

I've heard that elastix server should not be shutdown. I my case, I have to shut it down every day from 5pm to 7am.

The problem is that sometimes the dhcp and audit daemon say "FAILED" while loading, and therefore the sip phones don't work.

What could be generating this issue? The problem occurs rarely but happens.

Can anybody helpme to resolve that?

Perusing /var/log/messages can be forensic in finding that out,

Try (from bash) starting dhcpd with

    dhcpd -f (foreground mode)

It will be quite verbose as to why it can't start.

similarly auditd -f will start it in the foreground and can be informative also.

    thanks for answering.

To get the information about the issue should the service be down?

    thanks!

Those commands will only run the services if not already running otherwise they will abort
