    Hello,

I'm using Elastix 1.6-12 mainly with softphones (X-Lite). We use attended transfer functionality (*2) and it works great.

But we have 2 hardware phones - produced by Siemens and attended transfer is not working at all using them. I also tried it on the Grandstream BudgeTone GXP-200 which I had borrowed and it also didn't work.

It seems that no DTMF tones are recognized using the hardware phones.

What can I check to solve that problem?

you have to look at a few things things:

    - in the extension tab on the PBX:
what codec are you using for your extensions ?
what dtmfmode settings did you put for your extensions ?

    - in the phone itself (on the phone web page or file config):
    any forced dtmfmode settings ?
any dial pattern that will intercept the *2 for another build in phone function ?

    Thank you for your answer.

I found DTMF settings in phone's panel and changed it to rfc2833. Now everything works!

great. It can sometimes be tricky as some hardware phones have their own way of doing stuff by default that are not compatible with your pbx settings.
