I have searched the forums with no answer. When I Google the question I get many hits but nothing actually pertains to this. My question is this; my asterisk log file contains this Warning.

Unknown directive 'permit=192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0' at line 18 of /etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf

Other than my extension rebooting every so often and loosing the *97 code for voice mail the system seems to be working fine.

Does anybody know what this is?

Thanks,
Allen

On manager_custom.conf delete "#" or comment the line with ";"

#permit=192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

Shouldn't This be marked as a bug?

I had the same issue. My subnet is actually 10.0.83.0/255.255.255.0 so it is being missed somewhere in the setup.

At the very least it should have the comment character changed.

File /etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf

I tried to file a bug but don't have an account for that.

Thanks,
Don
