    Hello all,

    we have an Asterisk Crash here, and we really need some help here.

    There was a Power Failure, and after all UPS batteries were drained out, our Elastix server lost power.

    On it's next boot, the problem started...
    The server loads, and you can access the Elastix interface.
    It looks like the interface works properly BUT no phones register with it.
    After some research, using the unembedded FreePBX, it looks like the Asterisk main module has a problem.
    I think the screenshot says it all...

    http://forum.elastix.org/old_files/Asteriskfailure2.zip

    We tried to update the FreePBX modules, but any "Apply Changes" effort results in this message:

    ======================
    exit: 1
    Checking for PEAR DB..OK
    Checking for PEAR Console::Getopt..OK

    Parsing /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf ..OK

    FAILED
    [FATAL] Asterisk Manager Connection Failure Failed to connect to the Asterisk manager through port: 5038

    =====================

    Any reboot of the system brings it back to a working Elastix and FreePBX interface but always with the "Apply Configuration Changes" button visible, which implies that there are some pending changes to apply but they cannot be applied.

    However the FreePBX modules show that they were updated.

    They all show version 2.7 now, while they were previously in 2.5.
    We upgraded them in two steps (2.6 and 2.7).

    Our hope was that through the updates, one of the modules would upgrade the component that has crashed and make the Asterisk work again.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Dennis Zervas

    updated first
    1) Core FreePBX 2.7.0.8 Online upgrade available (2.7.0.12)
    2) FreePBX Framework FreePBX 2.7.0.3 Online upgrade available (2.7.0.6)
    3) Download all Upgrade all
    4) 2.8 Upgrade Tool

    do the same, with 2.8.

    It is not recommended, you'll have to do a "yum update", if it does not work as mentioned.

    obviously is an asterisk failure..or a bad applied update or a system break due to the energy failure...try to reinstall asterisk modules or recompile asterisk and voila..your problem up to that point of the log is only in the ami...

    Hello guys,

    many thanks for your help, I appreciate.

    I have upgraded to 2.8.
    But I can never get rid of the "Apply Configuration Changes" button, even after several reboots.

    But after that I discovered that almost all the modules on the left menu of Elastix work and show their pages (e.g Trunks, General Settings) EXCEPT the extensions module.
    This does not show it's page.

    What do you suggest?

    Thanks

    we have simply not enough info to help you more...if you have a backup try to use it in the backup server while you repair the main server if you dont have backups well you need to do all again
