this is the error message i get when I try to access my ARI interface

ARI

ARI does not appear to have access to the Asterisk Manager. ()
Check the ARI 'main.conf.php' configuration file to set the Asterisk Manager Account.
Check /etc/asterisk/manager.conf for a proper Asterisk Manager Account
make sure [general] enabled = yes and a 'permit=' line for localhost or the webserver.

Can anyone help me out, I am confused on what the proper settings are and where to change them

Elastix 1.3 freepbx latest 2.4.1.2

Thanks

I searched my whole Elastix 3.0 box for the 'main.conf.php' file but could not find it.

It Is missing

I found a link for the file and I downloaded it, i Attached it here also

the I Placed this file in /var/www/html/recordings/includes

re started asterisk, and now it seem to work, I get the login page.

I am testing this out, and let everyone know if this is fully functional.

Thanks All the help http://forum.elastix.org/old_files/main_234dd1b44cff73af6e8853883b17788e.zip

I did a clean install of 1.3. Forgot to see if ari was working. It definately was not working after I upgraded the freepbx modules by the unembeded method. I went to the latest 2.4x this time not 2.5. The above fix did fix it. I will be doing a reinstall or 2 before I get things the way I want them so I will try to watch it before I start breaking things. B)

The elastixconnection url is down at the moment.

Is there somewhere else to pick up the files/instructions to fix the missing ARI interface?

The problem still exists on Elastix v2.0.0 RC2 Beta for x86_64.

When you load the URL https://your_elastix_IP/recordings/ on your browser you get an emply directory containing only:

Index of /recordings
[ICO] Name Last modified Size Description
[DIR] Parent Directory -
[DIR] includes/ 26-May-2010 05:03 -
Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at your_elastix_IP Port 443

However, when you do FreePBX upgrade (from Module Admin) to Core v2.7.0.7 the problem is solved!!!

Please include the FreePBX Core v2.7.0.7 with the accompanied ARI fix to the Elastix's release version.
