Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to have my Elastix VOIP server that is installed in my family building(3 flats) to join it to the building outside intercom system and to control the external gate lock?

Any idea? what about required additional hardware?

Thank you !

Hi why not.

Maybe for example with some Grandstream devices. (gxv3501, or else).
There's some input/output connectors, and phone /speaker connectors and even a video connector.
With this device, you could be able to making call to a sip extension or receive a call from an extension.
With a DTMF code, you can turn on a contact, and on contact, sending a call.

Just an idea like that. ;)

Regards

thx dude for your hint & direction!
the gxv3501 seems to do the job very well specially the sip "open door" option..
but still confused about the connection to the analogue intercom system: for ex the microphone & speakerphone & the gxv3501 (how to)... same for the analogue outdoor intercom bottoms (for each flat) that should eventually ring a separate group of extensions on my asterisk....

thx again !

Sure, you should make some adapted connections, maybe with some electronical knowledges.
Otherwise, changing your existing devices by too expensive stuff like for example: 2N® Helios (door intercom devive SIP).
