Hi,

I have 20 extensions, which:
9001 - 9010
4001 - 4010

A two routes (route 1 and route 2) opened to any outbound dialing mode (x.)

However, I need only extensions from 9001 to 9010, can make outgoing calls by route 1, and only extensions from 4001 to 4010, to call via route 2.

How can I force so that only these extensions are able to make calls for specific outbound route, without creating a specific prefix or password for each route?

Thank's

There are many ways to do it. You can find answers in this forum.

The solution I have used in my system is the unsupported freepbx module called 'custom context'. It let you easily create different route order for each group of extension.

You just need to be carefull with this module as it is a really powerfull one that can break stuff if you don't know what you are doing.

Dear Patrick, I know of the existence of this module, however, I do not really use it.

You or someone can give more detailed information? I need help from someone who can guide me how to proceed, because the tool I have, but do not know how to use it! laughter ...

So I put my doubts in "Newbies Corner"!

Thank's;

Have a look in the Elastix Without Tears chapter about Custom Context.

Basically, you will create two custom context. Let's call them customA and customB.
You will assign ext 9001 to 9010 as customA and ext 4001 to 4010 as customB.
For customA you will allow the route 1 and deny route 2; for customB you will allow route 2 and deny route 1.
Easy enough?
