I want to make a platform on internet and sell call minutes and/or virtual pbx’s.
For example like Betamax, with many different webshops in one system (Internet calls, VoipStunt etc).
But more services to my clients as virtual pbx.
I do not know how many users I will have. But I want a platform for more than 50 000 users
After much search on the internet, I see the following as one of the solutions:
Asterisk, OpenSIPs, CDRTool & FreeRadius & MySQL

    (1) configure OpenSIPS as a load balancer for 2x existing asterisk servers to point to an existing MySQL dB

    (2) Install opensips control panel and monit

    (3) Install & configure FREE Radius Server

    (4) Install& configure CDRTool for postpaid OpenSIPs billing

Before I start, please can anyone tell me more about this and or this is a good solution for me?

    Why do I need opensips?

Can I use asterisks in instead of opensips?

Can I create on Elastix multiple virtual pbx’s?

Can anyone advise me for a the best open source solution?

    Thank you in advance

50000 users means lots of money...so you could ask for palosanto support or professional help with a good softswitch..elastix has no capabilities for this as its a PBX not a PaBX or key system
IMHO i will go to asterisk SCF or freeswitch solution or kamailio...

OpenSIPS is used as a SIP proxy for client SIP registration and NAT traversal. Asterisk wasn't designed for 50,000+ users and won't do very well in handling all the registrations for that many users. OpenSIPS is designed specifically for SIP registration and routing and would be an essential component for a deployment of that size.

This is the configuration recommended by Star2Billing (Commercial A2Billing):
    http://www.star2billing.com/products/sip-proxy/

There is also some documentation on how to integrate OpenSIPS with Asterisk on their website:
    http://www.opensips.org/Resources/DocsTutorials#toc6

I am also in the process of writing a blog detailing how to integrate Asterisk, A2Billing, MySQL, and OpenSIPS for large-scale deployments.

Your best bet is to research and read about OpenSIPS/Kamailio and learn how they work so you can get a better idea of how you want to implement your solution. A deployment of that caliber WILL be complex, but it is possible.

    Thank you for your information.

I installed the differed functions and try to make them communicate together.

It seems to work, but I still wonder why there isn’t a complete integrated product based on open source that solve my issues at once.

If someone have good advices please don’t hesitate to add your comments.

For the rest, I thank you very much for your help.

Have a look here, this is open source as well:

    http://www.sipwise.com

You can start with SIP Provider CE, and later you can upgrade to PRO if you need it.
