  1. Upgrade to Elastix 2.x (latest available)

I have installed over time some Elastix boxes, with different version available at that moment. I'd like to know if there's a way to upgrade to the latest 2.x version in a simple, conservative (keeping settings and configurations) manner. There's no such guide or documentation whatsoever on...
  2. Avantfax sucks. Any *real* alternative?

And you might know as well that Avantfax is nothing more than *just another* web client for Hylafax. I was pointing that link to show that the other web clients are more or less in the same messy situation as Avantfax. Nothing to say about that, I would just add in the end: "in a funny...
  3. Avantfax sucks. Any *real* alternative?

I don't mean to be rude or express any judgement over the authors, but let's face it - avantfax sucks. From too many points of view - its installation is "poor" (and I'm being too honest), the interface is not well-studied, the only things that seems to be ok (fax queue handling) are the only...
  4. B410P - DID/CID problems

Thanks Bob, it was exactly the parameter that I was looking for; I got the trunks running, but either DAHDI is definitely unstable or is not easy to configure, I had to fallback to mISDN to have a fully working configuration. Now everything is working and the world is a nicer place. Thanks...
  5. B410P - DID/CID problems

Hi, I managed to setup a B410P quad-BRI card from Digium with the default hardware config. Now whenever I try to put an incoming/outgoing rule I see that the Caller ID or the Destination ID variable has the wrong value - the number that DAHDI passes is stripped from its leading "0". That is a...
  6. SSD and CF

Actually I think that the Elastix team should release a beta of the CF version. A multiple-sized image would be great (1G, 2G, 4G). PCEngines Alix boards are getting old soon, as the Atom goes more poweful and inexpensive.
  7. SSD and CF

Definitely agree. Swapped memory is not a problem if you put 2GB and more of RAM - and I would also prefer using a 4GB CF card; in a small-sized PBX there's little room for future upgrades, so I assume reduced disk space usage (..I hope!). BTW the price per GB will make the 8GB CFs cheaper in...
  8. SSD and CF

:P just to be 100% sure, for "internal" you mean the USB one?
  9. SSD and CF

I was just planning to deploy my next Elastix installation with a CF replacing the Hard Drive.. I'd like to hear your opinion on these matters: 1. Which size fits best? I think that for a standard PBX appliance a 2G should be enough, but perhaps could be a little undersized. A 4G shall fit...
  10. Elastix 1.2 install in XenServer as guest

Hi, I'm a xen-newbie, but I'm really interested in paravirtualization, and I want to try Elastix running this way. I installed XenServer, and fired up a VM with enough resources (2 CPUs,512 Mb RAM and a 16Gb virtual disk) but during the installation process, the install manager says that can't...
  11. MD5 of Elastix images

Hi, I'd like to have the MD5 hashes for every image available for download on Sourceforge. My provider cut bandwidth some days a week, and I'd like to know if I have to re-download the image file before burning. If anyone can post just the latest august stable release, it would be huge :)...
  12. DISCARDED application/pdf GOES HERE

Hi guys, I got this strange error after configuring postfix + faxmail to send out faxes when received by mail as PDF attached. I have the SAME configuration on another machine, and it works nice - no cover page, PDF multipages sent, confirmation e-mail back. In this standard setup, I see that...
  13. chan_mobile help for install

When I load chan_mobile.so from the CLI, I see only pbx*CLI> module load chan_mobile.so == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/mobile.conf': Found pbx*CLI> and after that I can't do any "mobile search". Is it just because I'm trying to use a DBT-122 (which is flagged as NOT WORKING)? I'll buy a...
  14. chan_mobile help for install

Hi, I used my test-environement, which is a fully backupped semi-production machine (an association open for 2 evenings per week). Therefore, I applied the rpms over an existing config.
  15. chan_mobile help for install

Hi, with the new packages it still dies for me with error 127. Using Elastix 1.1, latest asterisk-1.4.19-1 and rpm -q says that asterisk-addons and asterisk-addons-chan_mobile are both at 1.4.7-1 I can't find anything interesting (regarding chan_mobile) in /var/log/asterisk/full
  16. I think chan_cellphone would be really great!!

It does the same for me too. Asterisk keeps on dying, on code 127, after loading chan_mobile. Using the latest Elastix 1.1.
  17. Embedded or unembedded..

Yep, I totally agree, the "update" section is useless in the gui if it hasn't a way to automatically flag the upgradable packets. Said this, if you want to upgrade single FreePBX modules you can do without danger from the unembedded Module Admin section. BE CAREFUL to NOT UPGRADE TO 2.4...
  18. HUD pro with Elastix...

Hi, it's not a matter of "making it work on Elastix" (I'm speaking of HUD in general), it's about "making it work". I took up a HUD server on Elastix and removed it 2 days later, it couldn't even manage a 10 phones load - if you're looking for something professional, personally I don't think...
  19. mISDN hardware detection

It should be a GREAT improvement for Elastix. Most of the times I have to deal with ISDN, and being able to configure it in a GUI could be excellent! More, there's a FreePBX user-submitted module located here that lets you manage the mISDN configuration (no detection, anyway). Why not fix it...
  20. definitely
