Elastix update Debian 9

The Elastix ISO has been updated – now based on Debian 9!

The Elastix ISO has been updated to the latest release of its telephony engine, 3CX V15.5 Update 2 and now is based on Debian 9 Stretch, making the PBX even easier to deploy and manage. With this update we have made the PBX and client installation even faster and easier both on premise and in the cloud.

Simpler Smartphone Provisioning

Smartphone clients, included for free for Android and iOS, now can be provisioned via a QR code. Just download the app from the Play Store or the App Store, login into your web client and scan a QR code found under the settings menu and voila! your extension will be automatically configured to start making and receiving calls from anywhere in the world!

Elastix now based on Debian 9

The Elastix ISO now includes Debian 9 “Stretch” and the memory requirements has been reduced as well as the installation time. Upgrade from Jessie to Stretch will be available soon via an upgrade script, in the meantime just update the telephony engine trough the Management Console or create a backup, install via the new ISO and restore your backup.

How To Update:

Log into the management console, navigate to the updates section where you will see a release update 15.5 SP2 BETA. Click on it and the update will be installed. Or take it for a test drive with our PBX Express tool and have a fresh installation running in minutes.
